Flowerbed and Weed Control Treatments:
- Flowerbed Weed Pre-emergent Program:
- Because weeds germinate throughout the year at different times, we use a pre-emergent to target the roots and seeds. Green Up has a 4 step program that treats every 4-6 weeks during the heaviest germination periods
- Flowerbed Weed Spray Program:
- Although the Pre-emergents are very effective, you will still get weed “breakout”. Therefore, flower bed weed sprays are essential. Green Up can also treat the cracks in sidewalks, patios, driveways and curbs. We recommend signing up for our 6-month program, where we spray problem areas monthly.
What you can do:
- Mulching
- Be sure to freshen up the flower beds with mulch, which helps reduce weed growth
- Hand Pulling
- While it’s best not to disturb the flowerbeds as much as possible, carefully pull any weeds that are growing in the plant material where sprays cannot be applied. In this way, the layer of pre-emergent is not disturbed and additional weed seeds are not brought to the surface.
